Agricultural Field Worker

You will work the fields of a farm a short drive outside Bijeljina, mostly growing corn, wheat, and vegetables on the flat Semberija plain. A normal day starts around 6am to beat the midday heat, with planting and weeding in spring, then picking and loading crates through summer and autumn. You will hoe rows by hand, run a backpack sprayer, fix drip irrigation lines, and stack produce onto trailers and into the cold store. During harvest you help feed the combine and ride along to clear blockages and bag grain. The crew leader sets the tasks each morning and works the rows next to you, so you learn the routine fast.

Start as a field hand and move up to crew leader once you know the rows and can guide a small team. Reliable workers are trained on the tractor and irrigation system, which opens steadier year round work. Starting pay is 590 EUR net per month and rises to 680 EUR net as you take on more responsibility.

This is open field work on a working farm, so most of the day is spent outside in full sun or under cover when it rains. The land is flat and easy to walk, the crew is small, and there is shade and water at the breaks. Summer days get hot, which is why shifts start early and finish in the afternoon.
