MIG/MAG Welder

You will weld steel parts and assemblies using MIG/MAG machines, mostly on plate and box sections from 3 to 12 mm. The day starts with reading the drawing, checking the joint, and setting wire feed and gas flow before you strike an arc. You tack, run your passes, grind back where needed, and check your welds against the spec. Work moves between the bench and larger jigs on the shop floor, so expect some lifting, clamping, and positioning of parts. Shifts are mostly one or two turns, Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday when orders pile up. A welding supervisor signs off the finished pieces before they go to paint or shipping.

Hands-on experience with MIG/MAG (135/136) on carbon steel

Can read basic fabrication drawings and weld symbols

Knows how to set amperage, wire speed and gas for the job

Comfortable with an angle grinder for prep and cleanup

Steady on bench and positional welds (flat, horizontal, vertical)

Valid welding certificate is a plus, not a must

Help with relocation and paperwork for workers coming from abroad

You start at 880 EUR net per month. Once you hold the quality and speed the supervisor expects, pay moves up to 1010 EUR net, usually within the first six to nine months. Welders who pass the company atest and take on harder positional work are first in line for that raise.

The work is in an enclosed fabrication hall with overhead crane and proper extraction at the welding stations. It gets warm in summer and you are on your feet most of the shift, so good footwear and the supplied mask and gloves matter. The crew is small and the supervisor is on the floor with you, not in an office upstairs.
