Long-Haul Truck Driver
Trade & Transport — Novi Sad, Serbia
P-223 · Functional (B1) · 4 openings
Drive 40-tonne rigs across Serbia and into the EU for a transport company based just outside Novi Sad. Steady routes, modern tractor units, and a planner who actually answers the phone.
About role
You run regular lines from the Novi Sad depot toward Hungary, Austria, Germany and northern Italy, hauling palletised freight and the occasional curtain-side load. Most days start with a walk-around check of the truck, fluids and tyres before you couple the trailer and load up at the warehouse dock. You handle CMR paperwork at the border, log hours on the digital tacho, and keep to the agreed delivery windows. Tours usually run one to two weeks out, with the truck as your base, then a proper stretch at home. Loading is mostly forklift work by the warehouse crew, but you secure every load with straps and corner boards yourself. The fleet is automatic Mercedes Actros and MAN units, none older than five years.

Work environment
Home base is a fenced yard with secure parking and a driver room off the M21 near Novi Sad. Roads are mostly motorway, but you will see mountain passes and tight depot yards in Italy and Austria. Weather swings from summer heat to winter ice, so the trucks carry chains and a cab heater for the cold runs.
