A finishing contractor working in the Kreka district of Tuzla is hiring painters for new apartments and for refits of schools and offices. The work is filling, sanding, priming and two coats, with some facade work in the summer months. One day shift, permanent contract.
About role
You mask the floor and the joinery, fill the joints and the screw heads, sand back and check the surface under a lamp held at an angle. Priming and two finish coats are rolled, with the cut in done by brush at the ceiling line and around the frames. Colours are mixed to the order sheet and the tin is labelled with the room number so a touch up matches later. Rooms are handed over clean, with the masking removed the same day. The shift is 07:00-15:30, Monday to Friday.
Who's a fit?
Trade school as a painter or a completed trade course
At least two years of interior painting on building sites
Clean filling and sanding, a straight cut in line without tape
Mixing colour to a sample and keeping a record of the mix
Working from a light scaffold and a ladder
Willingness to do facade work in the summer months

Promotion terms
A painter who takes the spray gun and the decorative finishes works the higher paid office refits, and the contractor picks its crew leaders from that group.
Work environment
Indoor work in unheated new buildings during winter and on facades in the summer heat. Paint vapour is constant, so a mask, gloves, knee pads and safety shoes are supplied and replaced when worn.
