A steel structures workshop in the Bukinje industrial zone in Tuzla is hiring MIG and MAG welders for hall frames, platforms and staircases. Plate thickness runs from 3 to 20 mm and the orders go to sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Austria. Permanent contract, two shifts.
About role
You read the assembly drawing, set the pieces in the jig, tack them and check the diagonal before the full weld. Welding is MAG with solid wire in flat and horizontal positions, with fillet welds on the plate joints and full penetration on the marked seams. You grind the start and stop points, clean the spatter and mark the piece with your own stamp. Visual inspection is done by the workshop controller on every assembly. Two shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00.
Who's a fit?
Trade school in welding or a completed welding course
At least two years of MIG or MAG work on structural steel
Valid welder certificate, or willingness to sit the test in the first month
Reading an assembly drawing and a weld symbol
Grinder and tacking work before the full seam
Willingness to rotate two shifts every week

Promotion terms
Welders who pass the certificate for vertical and overhead positions move to the assembly bay on the export orders, where the grade is higher, and the workshop trains its own inspectors.
Work environment
A high workshop with extraction arms over every bench, sparks, grinding noise and steel dust in the air. A helmet, a leather jacket, gloves and safety shoes are compulsory and are replaced when worn.
