A metal workshop in the Ramici industrial zone near Banja Luka is adding CNC operators to its second shift. The machines are three axis vertical mills and two turning centres with Fanuc and Siemens controls, cutting steel and aluminium for EU customers. Permanent contract from the first day.
About role
You set the vice or the chuck, load the tools from the list on the job card, run the first piece and measure it with a caliper and a micrometer before the series starts. During the run you check every tenth piece, correct the offset when a dimension drifts and write the measurement in the control sheet. Tool wear is reported to the setter, and the machine is cleaned and the chips cleared at the end of the shift. Two shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation.
Who's a fit?
Secondary technical school in machining or an equal trade course
At least one year on a CNC mill or lathe in a workshop
Reading a technical drawing with tolerances and surface marks
Confident use of a caliper and a micrometer
Basic control panel work on Fanuc or Siemens, editing an offset
Willingness to rotate two shifts every week
Benefits
Net salary from 660 up to 730 EUR per month
Permanent contract with full insurance from the first day
Paid supplement for the afternoon shift
Hot meal on every shift and coffee in the workshop kitchen
Travel cost covered for the Ramici route
Paid training on the control and on new fixtures
Work clothing, safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes
Promotion terms
An operator who starts writing and correcting programmes moves to setter, and from there to programming on the workshop CAM station. The step is paid as soon as the work is done alone.
Work environment
A clean machining hall at a steady temperature, with coolant mist near the mills and chips on the floor around the machines. Safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes are worn from the door.
