A haulage company at the Halilovici freight terminal in Sarajevo is hiring drivers for domestic distribution across Bosnia and Herzegovina. The fleet is three axle rigid trucks of 12 tonnes with a tail lift, and every driver keeps the same vehicle. Nights are spent at home except on the Bihac run.
About role
The day starts at the terminal, where you check the load list, count the pallets onto the truck with the warehouse and sign for them. A typical route is six to twelve stops at shops and depots, each one unloaded with the tail lift and a pallet jack, with the delivery note signed on the spot. You record tachograph time correctly, keep to the driving and rest rules and call the dispatcher if a stop cannot accept the goods. On return the empty pallets and the paperwork go back to the terminal office.
Who's a fit?

At least two years of distribution driving in the region

Promotion terms
Drivers with two clean years move to the trailer fleet on the regional routes, where the daily allowance is higher, or to the dispatcher desk if they want to stop driving.
Work environment
The cabin is the workplace for most of the day, with several hours of loading and unloading at the kerb in all weather. Gloves, safety shoes and a vest are compulsory at every stop.
