Parcel Delivery Driver

You load your van at the depot in the sequence the scanner gives you, check the parcels against the tour list and drive the round. At each stop you scan, hand over, take a signature and collect cash on delivery where it applies. Undeliverable parcels go to the pick up point or back to the depot with a reason recorded. You check oil, tyres and lights before you leave and report damage the same day. The round runs 07:00-16:30 from Monday to Friday.

Driving licence category B held for at least two years

A clean driving record and confidence in city traffic

Able to lift parcels up to 31,5 kg with a second person

Careful with a handheld scanner and with cash on delivery

Polite and punctual at the door of a private customer

Basic German for addresses, customers and the depot

Net salary from 2000 up to 2200 EUR per month

Permanent contract with overtime recorded and paid

Fixed round in one district, learned in two weeks with a trainer

Van provided and serviced by the depot, fuel card included

Deutschlandticket for the journey to the depot

Paid category C1 licence for drivers who stay one year

Work clothing, safety shoes and a rain jacket provided

Drivers who hold the round and the quality figures move to the trainer role for new starters or to the C1 rigid vehicle feeding the pick up points.

A sorting depot with a loading bay and a fixed van, then the round in city traffic in every weather. Safety shoes, a high visibility vest and a rain jacket are supplied by the employer.
