A furniture workshop in the Stanovo zone in Kragujevac is taking on joiners for its panel and solid wood lines. The shop makes kitchens and shop fittings for customers in Serbia and Bosnia. The contract is permanent and the tools are provided.
About role
You cut panels on the beam saw to the cutting list, edge them on the bander and drill the fittings on the boring machine. On the solid wood line you plane, thickness and mortise the parts and glue up the frames in the press. Every piece is checked with a square and a tape before assembly, and a panel with a chipped edge goes back for recutting. You clean the machines and empty the extraction at the end of the shift. Work runs 07:00-15:00.
Who's a fit?
Trade school for a joiner or equal practice
At least two years in a furniture workshop
Reading a cutting list and an assembly drawing
Beam saw, edge bander and boring machine
Measuring to a millimetre with a square and a tape
Care with glue, edging and finished surfaces
Basic English for machine menus and fitting catalogues

Promotion terms
Joiners who cut and assemble without waste move to the fitting crew that installs kitchens on site, which is paid with a field allowance.
Work environment
A workshop with dust extraction at every machine, a separate gluing room and racks for the finished panels. Ear protection, glasses, gloves and safety shoes are supplied by the employer.
