Fruit Packing Worker
Agriculture · Novi Sad, Serbia
JB-720 · Basic (A2) · 25 openings
A fruit and vegetable packing house outside Novi Sad is taking on packing workers for the autumn season. The house grades and packs apples, peppers and cabbage for retail chains in Serbia and Hungary. The contract runs for the season and a renewal is offered for the spring.
About role
You stand at the grading belt, take out fruit with bruises, rot or the wrong size, and put the good fruit into trays or crates by class. Full crates are weighed, labelled and stacked on the pallet to the pattern on the board. You change the liners, keep the belt clear and write the counts on the shift sheet. In the cold store you help stack the pallets and check that the labels face out. Work runs 07:00-15:00 with paid overtime when a lorry is loading.
