Restaurant Waiter

You lay the tables, take orders on the handheld, send them to the kitchen and the bar, and carry the plates in the order the kitchen sends them out. You know the menu and the daily specials, answer questions about allergens and pour the drinks you are licensed to serve. At the end of the meal you close the bill, take card and cash payment and clear the table. Shifts are 09:00-17:00 and 16:00-24:00 with two free days a week agreed a month ahead.

Catering trade school or two years in a dining room

Waiters who run a full section on their own take the terrace section in summer, and the house pays the sommelier course for those who want to run the wine list.

Work is indoors in the dining room and outdoors on the terrace in summer, with a service station on each level. Non slip shoes and a uniform are supplied, and trays are taken from a fixed pass.
