A construction company working on road sites and buildings around Nis is taking on general labourers for its crews. The work supports the bricklayers, carpenters and steel fixers on site. The contract runs for the building season and a renewal is offered at the end.
About role
You carry and stack material, mix mortar and concrete in small batches, and keep the working level clear of rubble and offcuts. You dig and backfill trenches by hand where a machine cannot reach, help set up scaffolding and pass tools and blocks to the crew on the wall. At the end of the day you clean the tools, cover the material and close the site gate with the foreman. Work runs 07:00-15:30 from Monday to Friday, with paid Saturdays in the busy weeks.
Who's a fit?
Finished primary school, a trade school is not required
Physically fit for lifting and digging through the day
Any site experience is an advantage, training is given
Following the instructions of the foreman exactly
Safe movement around machines and a crane
Willing to work outdoors in cold and heat
Basic English for the safety signs on site

Promotion terms
Labourers who stay through a season are trained on the concrete vibrator and the small compactor, and from there they move into the bricklaying or steel fixing crew.
Work environment
Work is outdoors in all weather, on open ground and on the structure. A helmet, gloves, a vest and safety shoes are supplied, and heavy loads are moved with a crane or a barrow.
