An electrical installation contractor working on office and residential buildings in Novi Beograd is taking on electricians. The crews run first fix and second fix on new blocks and refit older buildings. A permanent contract follows a paid trial month.
About role
You lay conduit and cable trays to the drawing, pull cables, fit boxes, sockets and switches and terminate circuits in the distribution board. Before energising you check continuity, insulation resistance and the earth loop, and you write the readings into the test sheet. A fault found at the handover walk is corrected the same day. Work runs 07:00-15:00 on site, the site engineer marks the drawings each morning, and Saturday work is voluntary and paid separately.
Who's a fit?
Trade school for an electrician or equal practice
At least three years on building sites
Reading single line diagrams and floor plans
Working with a multimeter and an insulation tester
Knowledge of cable sizing and protective devices
Safe work at height on a scaffold or a platform
English at B1 for equipment manuals and site meetings

Promotion terms
Electricians who close their own test sheets without corrections take over a crew of three, and the company pays for the medium voltage course for those who want substation work.
Work environment
Work is on site, indoors once the building is closed and on open floors before that. A helmet, gloves, glasses, a harness for edge work and safety shoes are supplied and are worn on every floor.
