Bricklayer

You lay brick and block walls to the line and the level, mix and apply plaster, build partitions and repair concrete surfaces once the formwork comes off. You set the wall out from the marks the site engineer gives you, check every course with a spirit level, keep the joints even and clear the work area at the end of the day. Material is brought by the crane or the telehandler, and you report what is missing to the foreman before the next delivery. Work runs Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:30, with Saturday paid separately when a deadline needs it.

Trade school in masonry or equal practice on site

At least three years of brick and block work

Reading a simple building drawing and setting out from marks

Confident with a spirit level, a plumb line and a mixer

Physically fit for work at height on a scaffold

Basic English for the safety signs and the site instructions

Net salary from 1006 up to 1107 EUR per month

Permanent contract with insurance paid from the first day

Transport between the sites in a company van

Accommodation arranged when the site is outside Kosice

Helmet, harness, work clothing and safety boots supplied

A bricklayer who holds the quality on his own section takes over a small gang within two seasons. The scaffolding course and the work at height course are paid by the firm.

Sites inside Kosice with a fenced yard, a heated container for changing and a covered store for the material. Helmet, gloves, safety boots and a harness for work at height are mandatory and are supplied.
