Delivery Driver

You load the truck the evening before against the route list, check the crate count and the returns space, and set off at 05:30 with fourteen to eighteen stops. At each shop you take the crates down with the tail lift and a hand truck, get the delivery note signed, take the empties back, and collect cash where the customer pays on delivery. You settle the cash and the empties with the office at the end of the day, and write the mileage and any damage into the vehicle book. Five day week, Saturdays only in December.

C category licence, B alone is not enough for this vehicle

At least two years of delivery work in a town or a region

Driver certificate of competence and a valid tachograph card

Drivers who know the region well take over the key account routes, where the bonus is higher, and the wholesaler pays the C plus E course for anyone who wants to move to the long trailers.

A depot with a covered ramp, a cold room for the chilled range and a driver room with showers. The cab is air conditioned, and gloves, the vest and safety shoes are worn at every stop.
