Hotel Receptionist
Hospitality & Horeca · Petrovac, Montenegro
JB-593 · Proficient (B2) · 2 openings
A forty room hotel above the beach in Petrovac needs two receptionists for the season from May to October. Guests are mostly Serbian, German and Polish families, the desk covers two shifts, and the hotel provides a room and meals for staff from outside the town.
About role
You check guests in and out, take the tourist tax and the card payment, and register every guest in the state system on the day of arrival. Through the shift you answer the phone and the booking mail, assign rooms with housekeeping, and hold the keys and the safe. You take a complaint yourself when it can be solved at the desk, and you write it in the shift book when it cannot. At the end of the shift you close the cash, count it against the report and hand over to the next receptionist in writing. Shifts are 07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00 in a weekly rotation.
