Formwork Carpenter

You assemble and strip panel formwork for walls, columns and slabs, set the props to the marked height and check the diagonals before the pour. Timber beams and plywood are cut on site, so a hand circular saw and a nail gun are daily tools. You clean and oil the panels after stripping, stack them by size, and report a damaged panel instead of forcing it back into the set. On pour days you stay near the pump with the concrete crew and watch the formwork for movement. Work is 07:00-15:30 with a half hour break, and you report to the carpentry lead.

Trade school for carpentry or two years of proven formwork practice

Working with a panel system such as a standard wall and slab set

Confident with a hand circular saw, a nail gun and a spirit level

Reading a simple formwork plan and a slab layout

Head for heights, since work reaches the second floor slab

Willing to work a Saturday when a pour is planned, paid extra

Basic English is enough, the plans are in the local language

Net salary from 760 up to 836 EUR per month

Fixed term contract for fourteen months, extended if the next site starts

Paid Saturday work at a higher rate

Hot meal on site and coffee in the container

Company transport from Bijelo Polje, Berane and Mojkovac

Accommodation in a shared flat for workers from outside the area

Helmet, gloves, safety boots and a winter jacket provided

A carpenter who reads the plan and sets out a wall alone becomes a crew lead on the next site, where the pay step is agreed in writing. The company also pays the scaffolding assembly course.

An open site with a covered cutting station, a container for breaks with heating, and a drying room for wet clothes. Work stops in a thunderstorm and in strong wind above the first floor.
