Hotel Housekeeper

You clean a set list of rooms per shift, normally 14 departures or 18 stay overs. The work covers stripping and making beds, cleaning the bathroom and the balcony, restocking towels, soap and the minibar, vacuuming, and reporting anything broken or left behind to the floor supervisor on the same sheet. You keep the trolley stocked and the linen room tidy, and you sign off each room so the reception can release it. One shift, 07:00-15:00, with one free day a week fixed in the rota and a longer changeover on Saturdays.

Finished primary school, no formal qualification required

Six months of cleaning work in a hotel, hostel or private rentals

Able to keep a steady pace through a full room list

Careful with guest property and with a written room sheet

Basic English for short guest requests at the door

Willing to work Saturdays and Sundays inside the rota

Available for the whole season, from April to late October

Net salary from 848 up to 935 EUR per month

Seasonal contract from April to the end of October, with a winter contract in the year round hotel after a good season

Shared staff room with two beds, paid by the hotel

Three meals a day in the staff canteen

Overtime on changeover Saturdays paid per hour

Uniform washed and pressed by the hotel laundry

Season completion bonus paid with the last salary

Housekeepers who finish two seasons are offered the floor supervisor place or a winter contract in the laundry. The hotel pays the hospitality course at the Rovinj tourism school for anyone who wants reception work.

Guest floors with air conditioning, a linen room and a service lift on every level, so trolleys are never carried up stairs. Gloves, tabard and non slip shoes are provided, and the cleaning chemicals are dosed at the station.
