Restaurant Waiter

You lay up the terrace, run the breakfast buffet, and take orders on the handheld through lunch and dinner. Twelve tables are yours: you carry the plates, open wine, clear between courses and settle the bill at the table. Between services you polish glass and cutlery, refill the fridge and check the tables the reception has booked for the evening. The season shift is split, 07:00-11:00 and 18:00-24:00, six days a week, and the day off is agreed with the restaurant manager a week ahead.

Waiters who finish a full season are called back first the next year, and the restaurant chooses its floor supervisor and its bar lead from the returning staff.
