Delivery Driver

The depot is in the Marienfelde industrial area in the south of the city. In the morning you and a second crew member load a 3.5 tonne box van with tail lift in stop order: washing machines, fridges, cookers and dishwashers, 10 to 14 stops a tour. At the address you carry the appliance in with a sack truck and carrying straps, unpack it, set it in place and take the old one and the packaging back. The customer signs on the handheld, and damage or a refused delivery goes into the tour report with a photo. Tours run in one day shift, Monday to Friday 07:00-15:30, with no night driving. You report to the dispatcher.

Driving licence class B, valid in Germany and held for at least two years

Experience driving a van in city traffic, ideally on delivery rounds

Able to carry appliances of up to 80 kg up stairs with a second person

Friendly and patient at the customer's door

Careful load securing and a clean driving record

Reliable start at 07:00 from Monday to Friday

English at B1 level, basic German for addresses and the handover

Net salary from 2090 up to 2300 EUR per month

Permanent full time contract with full social insurance

Day tours only from Monday to Friday, no night driving

Paid overtime when the tour runs long

Paid training in load securing and in carrying technique

Work clothing, safety shoes and gloves provided

After twelve months without a damage claim, drivers who lead a two person crew and train new colleagues on the tour move up to crew lead at 2300 EUR net a month.

A depot hall with loading bays and a fleet of 3.5 tonne box vans with tail lift, reversing camera and navigation. On tour you work in stairwells and flats. Safety shoes, grip gloves and a back support belt are supplied.
